Church of the Most Holy Trinity
|
Altenbeuern is a rural district of Neubänen in the Rosenheim district . Altenbeuern is about one kilometer northeast of the main town. The formerly independent place was incorporated into Neubeuert in 1970 .
In the center is the church “Most Holy Trinity”. This celebrated its 500th anniversary in 1994. In the church, three epitaphs point to the wealth and importance of the Neubeurer ship masters. But it also confirms the persistence of the Old Bavarians. Although the representation of the Holy Trinity in three identical persons has been forbidden since 1628, such a Gothic representation still adorns the high altar. Around the church there is a cemetery with a war memorial that was erected by the local costume association.
The many listed properties are popular excursion destinations, such as the Althaus Castle . It was the first castle in the municipality - the year 1130 is assumed to have been built.
