Anton Kathrein junior

Anton Kathrein jun. (Born January 11, 1951 in Rosenheim ; † November 13, 2012 in Altenbeuern ) was a German entrepreneur in antenna technology .

Career

Kathrein was born on January 11, 1951 as the son of the entrepreneur Anton Kathrein (senior) . Since his father's death (1972), he led Kathrein-Werke to become the world's largest antenna manufacturer until he died of heart failure on November 13, 2012, and was buried on November 19, 2012 in Altenbeuern .

Anton Kathrein jun. worked as a leading member of various business associations ( ZVEI , vbw , bayme , vbm , IHK Munich / Upper Bavaria ), since 1984 as city ​​councilor in Rosenheim and since 1992 as honorary professor at the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences . In 1998 he received his doctorate on a business administration subject and in 1999 received another honorary professorship at the University of Timișoara .

On November 28, 2012 it was announced that his son Anton Klaus Kathrein had succeeded his father as the sole shareholder of Kathrein-Werke.
