The former Freihaus of the noble family von Rindsmaul (also Rindtsmaul ) was owned by the family from 1629 and is the oldest surviving structure in Pinkafeld. In 1728 the Pinkafeld community acquired the house and used it as a district court with a pillory until around 1848 and as a town hall until 1954. From 1954 it was used for residential purposes and later as a municipal kindergarten. The Pinkafeld City, Cloth Makers and Fire Brigade Museum has been located in the building since 1989 .
