Half-timbered house at Altstadtstrasse 11 in Eppingen

The house at Altstadtstrasse 11 in Eppingen , a town in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg , is a half-timbered house in Kraichgau that was built at the end of the 16th century . The building on Altstadtstraße is protected as a cultural monument.

description

The building of the house is dated around 1560/70. The corner posts standing on ridged beams are still signs of the Upper German influence, while the bracing forms with strong woods show the development of Franconian peculiarities. These include the Franconian man , small ankle struts or foot clasps under the windows and head cleats with throats and cleared eyes. In addition to the brick ground floor, the house has two half-timbered floors and two gable floors. All floors of the street-side gable protrude.
