Artur Schulz reviewed the album for the Laut.de music database . In his opinion, Bendzko alternates on a thread between "conventional Schlager- niceness" and "cultivated chansons ". He criticizes Bendzko's limited vocal volume and "too softly washed" songwriting .
Kai Wehmeier, who rated the album under the heading “Thank you for understanding” for the music database Plattentests.de with three out of ten points, comes to the conclusion that on the silk thread “swims consistently in the approximate” and “rarely goes beyond this Friends book poetry out ”. The production was "again nice and warm and round", but the lyrics that brought "a few tears of understanding" to Xavier Naidoo fans' eyes were teeming with "good advice and hackneyed, oh-so-romantic phrases for a better life" .
