Amadou Madougou Wonkoye
Amadou Madougou Wonkoye (born August 11, 1965 in Dosso ) is a Nigerien officer .
Life
Amadou Madougou Wonkoye trained as a member of the Nigerien armed forces at the École de guerre in Paris . He served as a regional commander and earned a reputation with the armed forces fighting against Tuareg paramilitary organizations. In 2005 he took part in the US Army's Joint Combined Exchange Training Flintlock '05 . Madougou Wonkoye was a colonel when he was appointed to the Supreme Council for the Restoration of Democracy . This military junta , chaired by Salou Djibo, ruled Niger from February 2010 to January 2011 after the overthrow of President Mamadou Tandja . After the transfer of power to the government of civilian President Mahamadou Issoufou , the latter sent a number of members of the dissolved junta abroad as diplomats. Amadou Madougou Wonkoye was appointed defense attaché at the Nigerian embassy in Egypt , but could not take up his post because Egypt traditionally does not recognize military attachés at embassies in its own country.
