Amanda Royle (* 1962 ) is a British actress .

Life

Royle grew up as the daughter of actor Derek Royle and makeup artist Jane Royle , her older sister is actress Carol Royle . She began her career in 1985 with a guest role on the British television series Theater Night . Since then she has worked almost exclusively for television; She had her only feature film role so far in 1995 in the war drama Two Deaths by Nicolas Roeg .

From 1996 to 1997 she played the role of Sue McPherson in the television series Staying Alive , but mostly she acted in episode roles such as the ITV series Heartbeat , the crime series Agatha Christie's Poirot and Inspector Lynley , and the soap opera Doctors .
