Jane Royle

Jane Royle (born October 20, 1932 as Irene Jane Buchan Shortt in London , England , † December 13, 2010 in Worthing , Sussex , England) was a British makeup artist .

Life

Royle first worked as a makeup artist for an episode of the ITV television series Armchair Theater in 1967 . She made her feature film debut in 1975 as an uncredited make-up assistant in the cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show . From the early 1980s she was regularly employed by major British film productions and in 1985 she was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Mask for her work on the horror film Die Zeit der Wolfe . In addition to the British productions, she subsequently also worked on Hollywood films such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade , The Last of the Mohicans and Schindler's List . She also worked on two films in the James Bond film series and the first three films in the Harry Potter film series . Royle was married to actor Derek Royle from 1953 until his death in 1990 , from the marriage the actresses Carol Royle and Amanda Royle emerged.
