Queen Amarindra ( Thai : สมเด็จ พระ อม ริน ทราบ รม ราชินี ; * March 15, 1737 in Samut Songkhram ; † May 25, 1826 in Bangkok ) was the wife of King Phra Phutthayotfa Chulalok (Rama I) , the founder of the Chakri dynasty .

Amarindra came from a wealthy Mon family ; her family lived in Bang Chang, Samut Songkhram Province. Around 1760 she married the soldier Thong Duang, who would later rule the new kingdom of Siam as King Phutthayodfa Chulalok (Rama I) . She bore a total of nine children to her husband, including the heir to the throne of her husband, King Phra Phutthaloetla (first Prince Itsarasunthon , posthumously Rama II ). Amarindra became queen in 1782 when her husband was proclaimed King of Siam. She was given the title Somdet Phra Amarindra Borommarachini .

She had two temples built, one of which was dedicated to her mother. On May 25, 1826, the Queen Mother died in the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

King Phutthayotfa Chulalok had a total of 42 children, 25 daughters and 17 sons. Queen Amarindra bore him nine children, the other 33 are from the king's 28 concubines.
