Amber Rae Giroux

Amber Rae Giroux (* 1986 ) is a Canadian enduro athlete and motocrosser . In 2012 she was a member of the Canadian women's national team at the 87th International Six-Day Race .

Career

Amber Giroux, originally from Saskatchewan , grew up in a family passionate about motorsport. Two of her sisters and her mother also drive motocross races.

In 2006 she won the qualifying race for the national women's motocross championship. In 2008 she finished sixth in the National Motocross Championship and eighth the following year. In 2010 Amber Giroux finished fifth in this championship. Amber Giroux was banned from the first three races of the 2011 season because of an aggressive exchange of words with a CMRC official during a run in Walton, Ontario in August 2010.

In 2011 she switched to KTM and, in addition to motocross races, mainly drove enduro and cross-country races. In 2012 she was a member of the Canadian women's national team at the 87th International Six-Day Race. She was eliminated with an injury on the third day.
