American Football Championship 2005
At the American Football European Championship 2005 a total of eleven teams took part, which were divided into three groups. According to their strength, the three groups held a tournament for three consecutive years, so that the European Championship began in 2003. The respective tournament winner qualified for the next higher group and thus took part in the tournament again the following year.
Group A
The actual European Championship was held from July 28 to 30, 2005 in Malmö, Sweden, in play-off mode.
All games were played in Malmö Hästhagens Idrottsplats .

- Germany (defending champion)
- Finland
- Great Britain (Winner Group B , 2004)

Group B
The group B tournament took place in August 2004 in Amiens, France. The tournament was held as a round-robin tournament. The winner of the tournament was Great Britain, which qualified for the actual finals .
The games were all played at the Stade Moulonguet in Amiens.

Group C
The group C tournament took place from July 27th to August 2nd, 2003 in Copenhagen, Denmark . It was the first time for the Czech Republic to take part in an international competition with a national team. The very young team from Russia emerged as the winner of the tournament and thus qualifier for Group B , and prevailed against the tournament favorites from Italy in the final.
