The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is a US industry association in the field of wind energy based in the US capital Washington, DC . It was founded in 1974. He represents wind project developers, wind turbine manufacturers , service providers, research institutes and other players in this industry.

Lobbying

AWEA employees lobby the US Congress and promote laws that improve the framework for investments in wind energy projects.

Annual industry meeting 'Windpower'

AWEA hosts an annual conference and exhibition called WINDPOWER; this is one of the largest such events worldwide.
