Amici del Rap is a Swiss rap band from the canton of Basel-Landschaft . The band's rap productions also contain influences from rock, funk, soul, blues and jazz. The lyrics of the two MCs Dichter and Mirco Melone are rapped in Swiss dialect .

history

DJ ASC joined the company soon after it was founded in 2002 . After the first successes on the regional stages in northwestern Switzerland , DJ Tisa , a mutual friend from school days, was brought in. On October 4, 2004 the crew recorded a first high point in the band's résumé with 1st place at the newcommer contests Rap bim Dänkmol (BS), which allowed them to appear as the opening act for rap legend Guru (USA) in the summer casino in Basel. Further support concerts and a. for Pyranja (D), Main Concept (D), TAFS (CH), Oli Banjo (D) followed. After a short solo by MC Mirco Melone 2005-2006, in which he won the national Beatcircus-Wanted- Hip Hop Contest and u. a. Having played concerts with Greis , Baze , Luut & Tüütli and Dendemann (D), the band released their debut album Euses Ding in early 2007 . At the same time as the release, Mirco Melone and Dichter founded their own regional independent music label 90Bars . Since the spring of 2008 the classical formation MC-DJ began to change, Moe (drums), Manuva (guitar), Marco Solo (saxophone), Trendy Andy (bass) and Martina (vocals) joined “Amici del Rap”. In November 2010 the band released their second album Sofahelde , a mix of rap, funk, rock and pop.
