Amir ( Hebrew עָמִיר ʿAmīr , German 'Garbe' ) is a kibbutz in the Hule Plain in northern Israel , the kibbutz had 592 inhabitants in 2018.

Kibbutz Amir was the last settlement to be established during the time of the Arab uprising as a so-called tower-and-palisade settlement . The founders of Amir had lived in Hadera for a few years before they erected the tower, building and fortification of the kibbutz within a day on October 29, 1939. The settlement was attacked several times; In the early days, the settlers also had to struggle with malaria due to their location on the edge of the Hule swamps .

The economic basis of the kibbutz today is primarily agriculture; the kibbutz grows fruit and cotton, among other things.
