Ammar Jemal ( Arabic عمار الجمل) (Born April 20, 1987 in M'saken , Tunisia ) is a Tunisian football player . He plays as a defender.

Career

Ever began his professional career in Sousse with the Tunisian club Étoile sportive du Sahel . He started his first foreign engagement in Switzerland in 2010/11 at Young Boys Bern . In his first season he played 26 times in the Axpo Super League and scored five goals. After his club's elimination in the Champions League qualification against Tottenham Hotspur in August 2010, he also played seven times in the Europa League in 2010/11 and scored one goal.

In August 2011 Jemal switched to Germany on loan to 1. FC Köln, who secured a purchase option. He made his league debut on September 17, 2011 (6th match day) in the 4-1 away win of his team against Bayer 04 Leverkusen . Jemal scored his first goal for Cologne on April 7, 2012 to equalize 1-1 in the home game against SV Werder Bremen . After the 2011/12 season, Cologne waived the purchase option.

At the end of August 2012, Jemal was loaned to the French first division club AC Ajaccio for a year . During the winter break of 2012/13 he moved to Tunisia to the Club Africain Tunis , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2016.

In the summer of 2013 he switched to Al-Fateh in Saudi Arabia for a year on loan . A year later, in August 2014, he returned to his youth club Étoile Sportive du Sahel . He played here for almost three years and then went to al-Arabi for half a season before returning to Sahel in January 2018.

National team

Jemal made his debut for the Tunisian national football team on February 11, 2009 against the Netherlands (final score 1: 1). In total, he made twenty international matches by 2015 and scored four goals.
