M'saken ( Arabic مساكن, DMG Masākin ) is a city in northeastern Tunisia . It is located around twelve kilometers south of Sousse and 140 kilometers south of Tunis on the A1 motorway and has around 55,000 inhabitants. In summer the population is significantly higher due to the influx of emigrants living in France in particular.
The place name means (in the plural) "residences", "houses".
