Amnesia was an English thrash metal band from Barnsley that was founded in 1988 and split up around 1991.

history

The band was formed in 1988 by bassist Matt Foster, drummer Michael Vincent and guitarists Clive Heeley and Simon Fairhurst. After singer Simon Rose joined the band in 1990, she performed with Toranaga , Slammer and Xentrix . The band then recorded their debut album Unknown Entity within nine days, with Toranaga guitarist Andy Mitchell as producer. In 1991 the band played with Metal Church and Sabbat before releasing the album and then disbanding.

style

The band doesn't play too aggressive Thrash Metal, the music being comparable to that of Megadeth and Metallica . The vocals of Amnesia, however, are clearer. Sometimes the songs are reminiscent of Dyoxen's .
