Amore is a German romantic comedy from 1978 by Klaus Lemke (director and screenplay) with Cleo Kretschmer and Pietro Giardini in the leading roles. Lemke received the Adolf Grimme Silver Prize for this in 1979 .

Maria is in her mid-twenties and lives with her father, a small widowed greengrocer, in Haidhausen . Her friend Bärbel is lovesick with the beautiful Italian Pietro. His father is a vegetable wholesaler on the Munich wholesale market . Except for Maria, who initially can't stand him, all the girls are interested in the heartbreaker. When Pietro Bärbel lets sit, Maria decides to take revenge on him. She makes sure that he falls in love with her, which at the same time makes her friend Franz, a soldier of the German Armed Forces, jealous.
