Thap Put District ( Thai : อำเภอ ทับปุด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of the province of Phang-nga . Phang-nga Province is located in the southern region of Thailand .
history
When the army of the Burmese king attacked Mueang Thalang in 1785 , the inhabitants of Thalang were able to flee to the area of today's Thap Put. They built a shelter here, which is called Thap in the southern Thai dialect . The shelter was covered with leaves called put .
Thap Put County was established in 1897 as one of the earliest counties in Phang-nga Province.
Attractions
Wat Rat Uppatham (Thai: วัด รา ษ ฏ ร์ อุปถัมภ์ ), also called Wat Bang Riang ( วัด บาง เห รี ยง ) - Buddhist temple complex ( Wat ) on road 4118. It is a newer mountain temple with a bell-shaped chedi that supposedly contains relics of the Buddha should contain. There is also a large statue of Guanyin , the Mahayana Buddhist goddess of compassion, on the grounds . When the weather is clear, you can see as far as Phang-nga Bay.

The district of Thap Put is divided into six sub-districts ( tambon ) , which are further subdivided into 38 village communities ( muban ) .

Local administration
Thap Put ( เทศบาล ตำบล ทับปุด ) is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district, it consists of parts of the Tambon Thap Put.
There are also five “tambon administration organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) for the tambon or the parts of tambon in the county that do not belong to any town.
