The Freckenhorst office was an office in what was then the Warendorf district in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1969 . The seat of the office was in the city of Freckenhorst .

history

As part of the introduction of the rural community order for the province of Westphalia , the Freckenhorst office was formed in the Warendorf district in the Prussian province of Westphalia in 1843 . It consisted of the city of Freckenhorst and the two communities parish Freckenhorst and Neuwarendorf .

In 1938 the municipality of Hoetmar , which had previously formed its own office, was incorporated into the Freckenhorst office. On October 1, 1945, the community of Neuwarendorf left the Freckenhorst office and was incorporated into the town of Warendorf .

On January 1, 1969, the parish parish Freckenhorst was incorporated into the city of Freckenhorst. The office, which now only consists of the town of Freckenhorst and the municipality of Hoetmar, was dissolved by the law on the reorganization of municipalities in the district of Warendorf on July 1, 1969. At the same time Hoetmar was incorporated into the city of Freckenhorst. Freckenhorst, in turn, was incorporated into the city of Warendorf in 1975.
