The law for the reorganization of communities in the Warendorf district was promulgated on June 27, 1969 and restructured 9 communities in the Warendorf district . In addition, the offices of Sassenberg and Freckenhorst were dissolved.

The Münster / Hamm Act resulted in a further restructuring of the communities in the Warendorf district on January 1, 1975. The previous district of Warendorf (January 1, 1939 - September 30, 1969: District of Warendorf) was dissolved and the cities and municipalities were mainly assigned to the new district of Warendorf. Only Harsewinkel came to the new Gütersloh district.

Brief description

§ 1   Merger of the city of Sassenberg and the municipality of Füchtorf to form the new city of Sassenberg, incorporation of the municipalities of Dackmar and Gröblingen and of parcels from the city of Warendorf , dissolution of the Sassenberg office , legal successor city of Sassenberg
§ 2 Incorporation of the communities of Velsen and Vohren into the town of Warendorf and of parcels of the communities of Dackmar and Gröblingen and the town of Sassenberg
§ 3 Incorporation of the municipality of Hoetmar into the city of Freckenhorst , dissolution of the Freckenhorst office , legal successor city of Freckenhorst
§ 4 Confirmation of change of territory contracts and regulations
§ 5 Allocation of Sassenberg to the District Court of Warendorf
§ 6 Dissolution of the city councils of Freckenhorst and Warendorf
§ 7 Comes into force on July 1, 1969
