The law on the reorganization of communities in the Lüdinghausen district was promulgated on June 27, 1969 and restructured 5 communities in the Lüdinghausen district . In addition, the Drensteinfurt office was dissolved.
At the same time, the law on the amalgamation of the city of Drensteinfurt and the parish of Drensteinfurt parish, Lüdinghausen district, came into force on January 14, 1969.
As a result of the Münster / Hamm Act , additional municipalities in the Lüdinghausen district were reorganized on January 1, 1975, the previous Lüdinghausen district (January 1, 1939 to September 30, 1969: Lüdinghausen district) was dissolved and the towns and municipalities were mainly part of the new district Coesfeld , otherwise assigned to the new districts of Unna and Warendorf .
