The law on the reorganization of communities in the Borken district was promulgated on June 27, 1969 and restructured 15 communities in the Borken district . In addition, the offices of Gemen-Weseke and Marbeck-Raesfeld were dissolved.

At the same time, the law on the amalgamation of the municipalities of Velen-Dorf , Waldvelen and Nordvelen , Borken district came into force on January 14, 1969 , creating the new municipality of Velen .

As a result of the Münster / Hamm Act , further municipalities in the Borken district were restructured on January 1, 1975, the previous Borken district (January 1, 1939 to September 30, 1969: Borken district) was dissolved and the towns and municipalities were part of the new Borken district assigned.

§ 4 Confirmation of change of territory agreements
§ 5 Allocation of the new communities to the Borken district court
