Office of the parish of Lunden
The parish municipality of Lunden was an office in the district of Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein with the administrative seat in the municipality of Lunden . Since January 1, 2008, its parishes, together with the parishes of the parish land parish of Hennstedt and parish land parish of Tellingstedt, form the parish land parish of Eider .
The office had an area of 100 km² and recently a good 5000 inhabitants in the communities

With the half black eagle, the official coat of arms picks up on a historical heraldic symbol borrowed from the coat of arms of the Old Dithmar family of the Wurtmannen and the municipality of Lunden . The coat of arms symbol, which was probably given in connection with Lunden becoming a town in 1529 , was supposed to express the claim that in Dithmarschen, comparable to the free imperial cities, one only felt subject to the Roman Empire and its emperor , but not to any sovereign prince. But also the influence of Peter Swyn , the then leading state politician of the peasant republic and head of the Wurtmannen, seems to be visible in this demanding choice of figures. The wheel of the farmer's wagon represents agriculture, which predominantly characterizes the area of the parish municipality of Lunden up to the present day. The green background of the shield indicates the fertile soil, which was partly recovered from the sea and, as indicated by the double silver wave bar, the Eider . The Eider limits the administrative district to the north and west. The eight spokes of the golden wagon wheel represent the eight communities belonging to the parish municipality of Lunden.
