Office of Nörten

The Amt Nörten was a historic administrative district of the Kingdom of Hanover .

history

The Nörten Office was established in 1852. It essentially comprised the holdings of the former patrimonial court of von Hardenberg , which was rebuilt after the Franco-Westphalian interlude in 1814, as well as the former Electorate of Mainz in Nörten . In 1850, the patrimonial jurisdiction in the Kingdom of Hanover was abolished, and the Nörten Office was established two years later. His official parish was increased by the village of Marienstein, which used to belong to the Bovenden office . In 1859 the office was canceled and incorporated into the Northeim office.
