The Premnitz office , based in the city of Premnitz, was an office that existed from 1992 to 2003, initially in the Rathenow district , and from 1993 in the Havelland district ( Brandenburg ), in which two municipalities and the city of Premnitz were merged into an administrative association. In the course of the municipal reform, the municipalities belonging to the office were incorporated into the city of Premnitz in 2002 and 2003 and the office was dissolved in 2003.

geography

The Premnitz office was located in the southeastern part of what was then Rathenow District. It bordered the Rathenow office in the north, the Nennhausen office and the Beetzsee office in the east, and the Milow office in the west and south .

history

On July 13, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave his approval for the establishment of the Premnitz office. July 21, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The approval was initially limited to July 21, 1994. The office was based in the city of Premnitz and consisted of three communities in what was then Rathenow district:

  1. Doberitz
  2. Mögelin and the city
  3. Premnitz

The time limit was lifted from July 11, 1994. On December 31, 2002 Mögelin was incorporated into the city of Premnitz. On October 26, 2003, the municipality of Döberitz was incorporated into the city of Premnitz by law. The Premnitz office was dissolved, the city of Premnitz became vacant. The municipality of Döberitz lodged a municipal constitutional complaint with the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg against the incorporation into the city of Premnitz, which was "partly rejected, the rest rejected".
