history

As part of the district reform in Schleswig-Holstein, the district of North Friesland was founded in 1970. As a result, the municipalities of the Langenhorn office together with the Bordelum and Reußenköge municipalities were to form the Stollberg office. Both the municipalities of the Langenhorn office and the municipality of Reußenköge sued against this. The Langenhorn office was finally dissolved on January 1, 1972 and the Stollberg office was formed without Reußenköge, which remained vacant.

On April 1, 2008, the Stollberg Office merged with the Bredstedt-Land Office and the City of Bredstedt to form the Central North Friesland Office with its administrative headquarters in Bredstedt.
