The Office for Rural Development (ALE) is a state authority within the portfolio of the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests . The offices for rural development are directly subordinate to the State Ministry as middle level authorities.

history

The former land consolidation offices in Bavaria were upgraded to intermediate authorities at the beginning of the 1970s and since then have been called land consolidation directorates . In 1992 it was renamed the Directorate for Rural Development . As part of the reform administration 21 of the Bavarian state government, the directorates were downgraded to offices in 2005, but continue to serve as the intermediate authority at the administrative district level .

tasks

The offices for rural development are the authorities responsible for implementing integrated rural development, village renewal and land consolidation in Bavaria . They are responsible for the preparation, management and implementation of proceedings under the Land Consolidation Act . Outside of proceedings under the Land Consolidation Act, the offices are particularly responsible for village renewal measures, construction of farm roads and the promotion of voluntary exchange of use . The aim of all of these measures is to improve the quality of the location in rural areas across all communities.
