Greetsiel District Court

The Greetsiel zu Pewsum district court was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Pewsum .

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished.

The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It included the Greetsiel office . It thus took over the court function from the Pewsum office and the Jennelt patrimonial court . The district court was subordinate to the Aurich Higher Court . In 1859 the Greetsiel district court was dissolved. Its judicial district was assigned to the district court of Emden .
