Weener District Court

The Weener District Court was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Weener .

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished. The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It included the Weener office . The district court was subordinate to the Aurich Higher Court . With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia , it became a Prussian district court in the province of Hanover . In 1972 it was dissolved and its judicial district was added to the Leer District Court .

The Weener District Court was housed in an official building built in 1861. The house is now a listed building and is used as a town hall.
