Dornum District Court
The Dornum District Court was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Dornum .
After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished.
The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. From the Berum office it comprised the places Arle , Großheide , Menstede , Schleen , Nesse , Neßmersiehl , Westdorf , Dornum , Dornumergrode , Dornummersiehl , Schwittersum and from the Esens office the places Westeraccum and Westeraccumersiehl . The district court was subordinate to the Aurich Higher Court . It was dissolved in 1859. The judicial district was added to the Esens District Court .
