District court Sternberg
The district court Sternberg was a court of the ordinary jurisdiction of the state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the district of the regional court Schwerin .
Seat and District of the Court
The court had its seat in the city of Sternberg .
The judicial district comprised the area of what was then the district of Sternberg .
On December 31, 1997, the court was overturned and converted into a branch of the Parchim District Court . The branch was closed on October 13, 2001.

Superior courts
The District Court of Schwerin was superordinate to the Sternberg District Court. The competent higher regional court was the higher regional court in Rostock .
