The Amur sedum plant is an evergreen, perennial succulent plant that reaches heights of 30 to 45 centimeters. The rhizome is thick. The plant is densely hairy. The alternate, sessile leaves are linear-oblong, 3 to 6 inches long and 0.5 to 1.2 inches wide with a smooth edge at the base.

The flowers stand together in an inflorescence . The hermaphroditic flowers are radial symmetry . The petals are yellow. The flowering period extends from June to August. The fruits ripen in September.

Occurrence

The Amur sedum plant occurs in the Amur area, northeast China and Japan on dry, rocky and stony slopes, deciduous forests and fields.

The Amur sedum plant is widely used as an ornamental plant in rock gardens and borders. It has been in culture since 1861 at the latest.
