Amy London (* 1957 ) is an American jazz singer .

London, who grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio , first learned the piano. She took inspiration from the work of Joni Mitchell and James Taylor before she took singing lessons in high school. She graduated from Syracuse University with a BA in opera before moving to New York City in 1980. She sang in big bands and musicals, so from 1989 to 1992 a leading role in City of Angels . Together with Judy Niemack and Alexandra Ivanoff she founded the Jazz Babies ; with Vocal Jazz Inc. she introduced elements of jazz to elementary school children .

In 2007 she released her debut album When I Look in Your Eyes , which was followed in 2009 by the album Bridges , which contained older recordings (between 1984 and 1991). With Darmon Meader and younger singers, she founded the Royal Bopsters to vocalese singing. Since 2008 she has organized youth camps internationally with her then husband, guitarist Roni Ben-Hur.

Furthermore, London works as an adjunct professor for jazz singing at the New School .
