Lee Musician (born May 26, 1956 ) is an American jazz pianist , keyboardist and arranger .

Musician studied music theory and piano at the Manhattan School of Music , the Eastman School of Music, and had additional classes at the Juilliard School . He played in Brooklyn in 1980 with Jeff Tyzik , with whom the first recordings were made, and in the following years with Buddy Rich . From the 1990s he worked as a musician, arranger and musical director for vocalists such as Susannah McCorkle ( Sabia , 1990), Margaret Whiting , Ann Hampton Callaway , Amy London and Tony Bennett ; He also accompanied Mary Cleere Haran ( There's a Small Hotel , Columbia 1991), Helen Merrill , Daryl Sherman , Meredith D'Ambrosio , Mark Murphy , Judy Collins , Mandy Patinkin , Audra McDonald , Dawn Upshaw and Barbara Cook .
