Aníbal Hernández , full name Aníbal Gabriel Hernández de los Santos , (born June 29, 1986 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.71 meter tall midfielder and offensive player Hernández made his debut at the age of 17 in the first team of the La Luz Fútbol Club . There was at the beginning of his career from the Apertura 2006 to the Clausura 2008 in the team squad in the Segunda División . During his time at La Luz, he also trained for two months as a trial with Peñarols team of the Tercera División, which was supervised by Rosario Martínez . However, he did not receive a contract. In the 2008/09 season he played for the first division racing team and scored two goals in that season. In the 2009/10 season he was loaned to Deportivo Maldonado for six months and then to Sud América for half a year . He then returned to Racing. In the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons he ran there in 12 and 26 games of the Primera División and scored one or eight goals this season. In July he moved to league rivals Defensor Sporting . In the 2012/13 season he played 28 first division games (five goals) and was used in two matches (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores . This was followed by nine more first division appearances (one goal) for the Montevideans in the Apertura 2013. In early January 2014, he then left the club and joined Centro Atlético Fénix on loan . There, the statistics in the Clausura 2014 show seven hits in twelve first division games for him. In the Apertura 2014 he was used ten times (one goal) in the top Uruguayan league. In January 2015 he was loaned out again by Defensor. This time the receiving club was the first division club Atlético Cerro . There he played twelve first division games in the 2015 Clausura and scored six goals. At the beginning of July 2015, Hernández joined the Colombian association América de Cali . For the Colombians he played in 27 league games in Primera B and scored four goals. He was also used twice (one goal) in the Copa Colombia . At the beginning of January 2017, the first division club Atlético Huila signed him , for whom he has so far (as of March 4, 2017) played four league games (no goal).

Hernández had a son and a daughter at the age of 18.
