Ahmad an-Nuwairī ( Arabic شهاب الدين أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن محمد النويري, DMG Šihāb ad-Dīn Aḥmad b. ʿAbd a-Wahhāb b. Muḥammad an-Nuwairī ; * 1279 in Cairo ; † 1333 ) was an Egyptian historian and encyclopaedist of the Mamluk period in Egypt . He is the author of the encyclopedia Nihāyat al-arab fī funūn al-adab .

He also wrote a chronicle of Syria , which the conquests of the Mongols in Syria portrays, and a history of the Almohad Spain and Africa and the conquest of the city Marrakech .
