Ana Isabelle (born April 11, 1986 in Caguas ; full name Ana Isabel Acevedo Avilés ) is a Puerto Rican singer , dancer and actress .

Life

She became known in 2007 when she starred in the biopic El Cantante about the Puerto Rican salsa singer Héctor Lavoe , alongside Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez . In the same year she brought her debut album Por el amor onto the international market. With the song Quién dijo amigos , which also appeared in a reggaeton mix by RKM & Ken-Y , she had her first notable success in the US Latin charts.

In late 2009, she won the Latin music talent show ¡Viva el sueño! and was added to the list of Artists to Watch by Billboard . In early 2010 her second album Mi sueño was released , which brought her her breakthrough. It peaked at number 2 on the U.S. Latin pop chart and even made it onto the official Billboard 200 . Together with Cristian Castro , she sang Por amarte así , which had already been a solo hit for Castro in 2000 and once again made it into the Latin top 10 in a duet.
