Caguas is a city in Puerto Rico , it is also known as La Ciudad Del Turabo (Turabo City), La Ciudad Criolla (City of Crioles) and El Corazón de Boriquén (Heart of Boriquén ).
history
Caguas was founded in January 1775 and was then called San Sebastián del Piñal de Caguax .
location
In Caguas the rivers Cagüitas, Turabo, Bairoa, Cañas, Grande de Loíza and Cañabonsito flow. The place is in the eastern center of the island, about 40 km south of the capital San Juan and 40 km north of the port city of Guayama .
