Anadyr Lowlands

The Anadyr Lowland ( Russian Ана́дырская ни́зменность ) is located in the Chukchi Autonomous Okrug ( Eastern Siberia ) in the Asian part of Russia .

There it borders in the north on the Anadyr Mountains and in the east on the Anadyr Gulf in the Bering Sea , which is the northernmost part of the Pacific . The Korjakengebirge connects to the south . In the west the lowlands merge into the Anadyr Plateau .

The Anadyr lowlands, which are dominated by taiga and tundra and are sparsely populated due to the arctic climate , are traversed by the Anadyr . The city of Anadyr is located at the mouth of the funnel .
