Anastasia (book series)
Anastasia ( Russian Звенящие кедры России , Swenjaschtschije kedry Rossii , German The sounding Cedars of Russia , after the title of the second volume) is a novel series of Russian author Vladimir Megre (* 1950 as Vladimir Pusakow ) with esoteric -spirituellen, conspiracy ideological and anti-Semitic content. Ten volumes were published in Russian between 1996 and 2010, the German translations of which were published between 1999 and 2011.
Based on the books, an ecological-esoteric movement developed first in Russia and Eastern Europe , later also increasingly in the German-speaking area , which seeks to implement the ideas of agriculture, spirituality and pedagogy spread in the novels . After their origins in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, communes of the movement also emerged in Germany and Austria. The Anastasia movement is criticized by German constitutional protectors as well as by sect commissioners, scientists and church representatives because of the right-wing esoteric , conspiracy-ideological, anti-Semitic content and the right-wing , nationalistic - folk blood-and-soil ideology . In Germany, the Anastasia movement has connections to organized right-wing extremism and to Reich citizens .

The title character Anastasia is described in the novels as a woman living alone in the Siberian taiga in a forest clearing. She is represented as a representative of the old culture of the "Wedrussen", which already existed in the ancient Rus and which still exists today as a highly developed, but "not technocratic " culture apart from the rest of the world. The author describes in the first person how he met Anastasia on a trip to the Taiga and how she changed his life: He is amazed again and again by her knowledge and skills. The books want to offer direct assistance in everyday life. Megre postulates his key idea through his character Anastasia, who he depicts as a real person, that every family should live “in harmony with nature” on a country estate of around one hectare and be cared for by it. The discussion of world religions , global economic and political development and history also takes up a large part of the discussion . Megre represents partly conspiracy theoretic and historical revisionist concepts (such as the "New Chronology" ).
Megre reinterprets the history of persecution of the Jews as their own fault. From the history of Judaism one can conclude that “the Jewish people are guilty of the people” (Volume 6). In this way he justifies pogroms against people of Jewish faith and origin.
Type of settlement
There are clear recommendations in the series of books for a family country home the size of one hectare :
A living fence, a hedge (Volume 4, page 171) serves as a fence . A ring wall is also suitable (Volume 10, page 170). Half to three quarters of the hectare should be forest . Bees, chickens and goats are named as animal species. Another hedge should be laid out between the forest and the open space to protect the vegetable garden from the animals. A shallow pond two ares in size should be created in the vegetable garden (Volume 4, page 177). More than 300 easily digestible plant species are said to grow on the country estate (Volume 7, page 72). Special mention should be made of: raspberries, currants, gooseberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, apples, sweet or sour cherries and flowers. There should be at least one sunflower and two square meters of grain (rye and wheat) and two square meters of grass and herbs (Volume 1, page 86). Great importance is attached to a planted family tree (Volume 4, page 188). The settlement area should cover at least 150 hectares (Volume 5, page 108).
