Anastassija Valeryevna Kazakul (born November 19, 1982 ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Kasakul first started in Moscow in January 2000 in the World Cup . She finished 53rd in the 15 km freestyle. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2000 in Štrbské Pleso , she achieved 43rd place over 15 km classic and won the silver medal with the Russian relay. The following year she was ninth over 5 km at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Karpacz . In the 2005/06 season she got her first World Cup points in Nové Město with the 28th place over 10 km freestyle and achieved her best individual result in the classic World Cup in Otepää with the 13th place over 10 km. Since the 2007/08 season she has mainly participated in the Eastern Europe Cup . She achieved her first podium finish in February 2008 in Rybinsk with second place in the sprint. In the 2009/10 season she came in the Eastern Europe Cup six times under the top ten, including third place over 5 km classic in Vershina Tjoi and second place over 15 km classic in Rybinsk and thus finished fourth in the overall standings. The following season she was twice third in the Eastern Europe Cup. She also had three wins and won the overall standings at the end of the season. In February 2011 she reached her only podium finish in the World Cup with third place in the relay in Rybinsk. At the Nordic Opening 2011 in Kuusamo she came in 50th place. In the 2012/13 season , she came third twice and second once in the Eastern Europe Cup, making it sixth overall. In the 2015/16 season she finished in the top ten five times and was fifth in the overall ranking of the Eastern Europe Cup. In the following season she reached fourth place in the overall standings with eight top ten placements.
