Anastasios Boundouris ( Greek Αναστάσιος Μπουντούρης ; born August 2, 1955 in Piraeus ) is a former Greek sailor .
successes
Anastasios Boundouris took part in the Olympic Games six times . In his Olympic debut in Montreal in 1976 , he finished sixth in the Finn dinghy . He was at the following Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 in the boat class Soling helmsman of the Greek boat whose crew consisted of Anastasios Gavrilis and Aristidis Rapanakis . They won two of the seven races and finished third with 31.1 points behind the Danish boat led by Poul Høj Jensen with 23 points and the Soviet boat led by Boris Budnikow with 30.4 points, with which they won the bronze medal. The following year, Boundouris secured the silver medal at the World Championships in Anzio together with Anastasios Gavrilis and Aristidis Rapanakis. In 1984 he finished the Olympic sailing regatta in Los Angeles in Soling in sixth place. Four years later he did not get beyond 18th place in Seoul , in 1992 in Barcelona he only managed 20th place. In 1993 he became world champion in Soling in Paleo Faliro . At his last Olympic participation in Atlanta in 1996 , he just missed another medal win in the star boat with Dimitrios Boukis in fourth.
His brother Antonios Boundouris was also a sailor and was part of Anastasios Boundouris' crew at the 1988 Olympic Games.
