Anathallo was an American Independent band from Mount Pleasant , in the US state of Michigan . The group, founded in 2000, had seven members. Their music, which could be positioned between experimental folk and indie rock , was shaped by a variety of different, sometimes very unconventional instruments and was compared to that of Broken Social Scene or Sufjan Stevens .
After releasing several EPs, the band released their first album Floating World in early June 2006, followed by Canopy Glow in November 2008.
