Anatole Ak

Anatole Ak (born September 1, 1956 in Linz ) is an Austrian painter .

Career

From 1976 to 1980 he studied at the Mozarteum University of Music and Performing Arts in Salzburg. In 1989 Ak was a founding member of the artist group K5 (with Oliver Dorfer , Robert Mittringer , Alexander Netusil and Reinhold Rebhandl ) and has been a member of the artists' association MAERZ in Linz since 1994 . Today Ak lives and works in Engerwitzdorf / Upper Austria.

Ak paints in oils and mixed media on handmade paper and canvas. His pictures often show linear structures on a monochrome , pasty background. In addition to painting, he also worked as a video and installation artist .
