Anatoly Alexandrowitsch Wanejew ( Russian Анатолий Александрович Ванеев ; * February 26th July / March 9th  1872 greg. In Nizhny Novgorod ; † September 8th July / September 20,  1899 greg. In Yermakovskoye , Krasnoyarsk region and a Russian social democrat ) active participant in the revolutionary movement in Russia .

Life

Vaneyev, son of a civil servant, studied at the Technological Institute in Saint Petersburg from 1893 to 1895 . In 1895 he was involved in the founding of the Petersburg " Combat League for the Liberation of the Working Class ", which was led by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin .

Vaneyev was responsible for the technical preparation for the publication of the newspaper of the Kampfbund "Рабочее дело" ( Rabotscheje Delo , dt. Workers' matter ). The first number, which was already ready for printing, was confiscated by gendarmes on the night of December 8th to 9th, 1895 during a search of Vaneyev's house and could not appear. Vaneyev was already involved in the illegal, hectographic reproduction of Lenin's pamphlet What are the “Friends of the People” and how do they fight against the Social Democrats? ( Russian Что такое «друзья народа» и как они воюют против социал-демократов? ), which appeared in three series.

Vaneyev was arrested in December 1895 and exiled to eastern Siberia in 1897 . In 1899 he signed the protest of Russian Social Democrats ( Russian Протест российских социал-демократов ), which Lenin worked out in exile, and was directed against the so-called economists . Vaneyev died in exile in eastern Siberia in 1899 of tuberculosis , which he picked up in solitary confinement in the remand prison.

Honors

  • The AA Vaneyev Memorial House Museum is located in Yermakovskoye.
  • Streets in Saint Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod are named after him.
