Anatoly Leonidovich Butschatschenko ( Russian Анатолий Леонидович Бучаченко * 7. September 1935 in nyandoma near future cosmodrome Plesetsk ) is a Russian chemist .

Life

Buschatschenko studied physical chemistry at Gorky University with a degree in 1958. He then worked at the Moscow Semyonov Institute for Chemical Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences (AN-SSSR) . After postgraduate with PhD candidate of Chemical Sciences , he was appointed Science Doctor of Chemical doctorate. He then became head of the Institute's Department of Dynamics and finally Institute Director (1994–1996).

In addition to his institute work, Butschatschenko taught at the Lomonossow University in Moscow and headed the chair for chemical kinetics (1989-2013). He is a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN) .

Butschatschenko's main areas of work were physical chemistry, the chemistry and physics of stable radicals , nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy of paramagnetics and spin chemistry. 1975–1980 together with JN Molin , RS Sagdejew , EM Galimow and others, he established the effects of magnetic fields on the course of chemical reactions.

Buschachenko was a co-author of many publications by his colleagues, including the biochemist Dmitri Kuznetsov , who was accused of scientific misconduct (due to non-reproducible results and non-verifiable references).
