The Andenes Knoll , together with the Explora Knoll and the Polarstern Knoll, form a group of deep-sea mountains in the eastern Weddell Sea near the Caird coast of the East Antarctic Coatsland .

The name of the rock goes back to the surveyor and glaciologist Heinrich Hinze from the Alfred Wegener Institute and has been internationally recognized since 1997. It is named after the KV  Andenes , research ship of the seventh (1984–1985) and ninth (1989–1990) Norwegian Antarctic expedition.
