Per Anders Daun (born April 20, 1963 in Borås ) is a former Swedish ski jumper . After his career as a ski jumper, he worked as a ski jumping official and ski jumping trainer.
Career
Daun played his first international tournament with the 1979/80 Four Hills Tournament. However, he only entered the tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . However, with results around 100th place, he was unsuccessful. The 1980/81 and 1981/82 tours were similar.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 he achieved a top result for the first time with 10th place on the normal hill. He was also able to jump into the top ten in the following World Cup competitions and the competition on the large hill. He also maintained this performance in Štrbské Pleso and Planica and ended the season in 29th place in the overall World Cup standings. It was the most successful season of his career. In 1984 he became the Swedish normal hill champion.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld in Tyrol , however, he was only able to achieve a 56th place on the normal hill and a 54th place on the large hill. He was also unsuccessful in the following World Cup competitions. In 1987 he reached only 59th place at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf .
At the Olympic Winter Games in 1988 he was in the squad of the Swedes despite the falling performance curve. He reached the 27th place on the normal hill and 21st place on the large hill. In team jumping he reached 7th place together with Per-Inge Tällberg , Jan Boklöv and Staffan Tällberg .
After his active career, Daun is active as a ski jumping official. He was race director at the Swedish Championship in Örnsköldsvik in 2008 . Since the 2011/2012 season he has been assistant coach for the Swedish ski jumpers.
