Anders Hansen (born September 16, 1970 in Sønderborg ) is a Danish professional golfer on the PGA European Tour .
The two-time Danish amateur champion became a professional golfer in 1995, but was not able to establish himself on the European Tour until 1999. Hansen achieved his first tournament success in 2002 at the prestigious Volvo PGA Championship , and celebrated his second five years later at the same tournament, which has since been renamed the BMW PGA Championship . Since 2000 he has always been among the top 60 of the European Tour Order of Merit , his best ranking was in 2002 with a 16th place.
Hansen represented his country many times in the World Cup .
Anders Hansen is based in Zurich . His compatriot Søren Hansen , who works in the same branch, is neither related to him nor by marriage, but the two are friends.
